I first tried yoga as a young stay-at-home-mom over 2o years ago. I remember finding it relaxing and I always took a nap at the end of class, in final resting pose savasana.  As a busy mom of 5 I was lucky to step into any group fitness class I could.  Gym time and any exercise time became my personal time.

Found myself years later putting my health and wellness last, while struggling to balance work and family life. When COVID hit, gyms closed, (due to struggling to balance life I really wasn't using the gym as I once had) and I was forced to work at home. I didn't have the correct ergonomic chair and desk that I had from the office. Stress was high, back and shoulders hurt everyday. Three of my young adult children and my husband were home, literally all the time just like me.  Needing to find somewhere in the day to have some space for personal care and reflection, I was able to find some exercise videos on a streaming service. I started religiously practicing yoga daily.

A daily practice ignited my love for yoga as I realized I felt felt good on the inside and outside.  The pain and discomfort I had from working a desk job was nearly gone, definitely manageable! There are so many more benefits I received from yoga and mindfulness practices.  I was hooked and knew I wanted to pursue training to deepen my practice and share with others.

I trained with Arizona Yoga Academy and am certified with Yoga Alliance.  I have specific continuing education training for the corporate worker, yoga Nidra and more. Yoga is over 5,000 years old and the learning never stops!  Here are just a few of the continuing education classes I have attended: chakra workshops, hatha, vinyasa, kids & family yoga, chair/senior yoga, yoga Nidra, private,  group, athletic, sound therapy and more. I am always seeking to continue my education.

Some fun things about me.....I love cheese, Phoenix Suns, the lake and beach, spending time with family and going on bike rides with my husband of 28 years.
